Photo Shoot
I have been learning about our new camera and reading up on photo tips. I took some pictures of Joshua using what I've learned, and I think they turned out pretty well. Enjoy!

Christmas 2008
Joshua's 1st Christmas was tons of fun. He had a great time ripping paper (something I never let him do) and kept looking at us like he was wondering when we were going to yank it out of his hand. He was spoiled by his grandparents and aunts and uncles, so he now has lots of new toys to play with. We had a blast taking pictures of him because our new camera just came in the mail on Christmas Eve. And he is just so cute!

I was home for four weeks because of Christmas break at Grace, so I had lots of time to play and try to get a few projects around the house finished. Mostly we played. The projects can wait. We also rearranged the house a bit and put away all the things that were in Joshua's reach since he is now crawling and pulling himself up with everything. We put baby gates and made the living a play room for him. He's taking over the house!

Merry Christmas!
It's cold and the smell of firewood burning is in the air...it's Christmas in Nebraska! Christmas always makes me nostalgic. Fond memories of past Christmases come flooding in, and before I know it, I'm making Christmas cookies with "White Christmas" playing in the background. This blog came from that nostalgia. Missing family and thinking about how great it is to get together for Christmas prompted me to do something that would at least keep them in touch a little bit with us. Merry Christmas! I can't wait to make more great memories this year.
